Support and Feature Requests

If you think Giffer is missing an important feature or an existing feature could use improvement, let’s hear it!

  1. Allow individual frame durations

Since the new Pro version, the possibility to assign individual duration times for frames has disappeared. Please put it back! It's important in many cases, where a certain frame must have a particularly short or long duration.

Thanks for the suggestion. Individual frame delays will return in the next version of Giffer, which is coming super soon!

  2. tumblr queue option

Option to post to tubmlr queue instead of immediate posting.

  5. Move your stuff around

I tend to put everything in folders, and it would be super awesome if you could make it so you can move gifs from one folder to another :3

  6. publish incremental updates

I'm actually thrilled to see so many features are being addressed now that i'm here on this support forum thing. Things like landscape video and the flipped front camera are bothersome. I see they are fixed. Hooray! So... publish an update to the app store? People love point releases. ( I do! )

In any case, thanks for the hard work, Taber. So far giffer is the best animation tool i've toyed around with in years.

  10. Let us be able to go on a browser

To download a gif from tumblr. I'm on my iPhone whenever I find an awesome gif from tumblr that I wanna save. You can reblog a gif into your blog on Tumblr, and so if you allowed us to find our blogs and gifs on a browser (directly in app, or like have an option on the tumblr app/safari saying "download to Giffer") it'd be a lot easier to download them.

This kind of already exists in the new version of Giffer Pro (and regular Giffer too, as soon as Apple approves it – hopefully sometime this week.) All you have to do is hold your finger on a GIF you like in Safari, choose “Copy” then in Giffer, tap the down arrow button on whichever folder you’d like to import it to, and select “paste a gif”. Hope this helps!

  11. let us scroll through gifs like normal photos

If we could just swipe to go to the next gif it would be perfect!

  13. Change the front cam so I'm not upside down.

When I use the forward facing cam I'm upside down. CHANGE THAT!

Thanks for the idea, but this is already a feature. If you feel it isn’t working properly please file a ticket with your device model, etc. Thanks!

  16. Allow zooming in or out while viewing a GIF

While viewing a GIF, it'd be nice to be able to zoom in or out of the GIF. Similar to zooming in or out of a picture in the iPod photo library.

Thanks for the suggestion! In the latest version of Giffer, your shared photo albums should be showing up alongside your other albums in Giffer’s “photo albums” screen.

  18. Add a soft brush setting (preferably adjustable) for cinemagraph mode. Please!

It would be awesome to have a brush that doesn't have hard edges, so one can blend to scene more smoothly in cinemagraph mode.

  19. Easier picture taking/capture process

The process of creating a new GIF is a bit cumbersome. I'd like to see it more streamlined and easier to use.

  20. Ability to add frames or borders around the GIF

Let users choose from different borders or frames similar to the way filters are chosen.
